Zurich

Emily outside her future employers office!! Her dream job - chief taste tester :)
Eidelweiss - 32 Swiss francs for a 4inch pot plant! Super expensive.
Heres one for Nikki! Wrong colour but whats in a colour anyway?!
Yvette videoing around the Zurichsee.

Well, today is Monday already! We're in Zurich....not too impressed by this place. In comparison to Lucerne, Lucerne wins hands down. It is prettier & more tourist oriented. Zurich is very much a working metropolis - banking, stock exchange, all commerce. Just like any busy city. The locals are very impatient with tourists on the roads, they were quite rude & unhappy looking at the restaurant we went to for lunch/dinner. I don't think I'll be moving to Zurich any time soon!! They are all too sour. All the malls are cobblestone which makes walking uncomfortable. Just glad we're moving on tomorrow.

This morning we woke to rain which continued till lunch time. Then we got another storm - thats everyday since we've been in Europe!! Maybe its us. Now though (8pm) its hot again!

As you can see from a photo of Emily in heaven, we went to the Lindt chocolate factory. :) What a beautiful smell when we got out of the car - OMG I couldn't work near that factory. My mouth would be watering every minute of everyday!! The shop was full of all sorts of chocolate - chilli, pistachio, milk, dark, nuts, tiramisu....you name they had it & at a good price. Well better than at the shops in town anyway. Emily wants to work there as chief taste tester. Mind you we didn't get to do any taste testing :(

We decided to catch a tram into town to have lunch (at 3.30pm) in another traditional swiss restaurant/beer hall - with all the sour waiters!! Mum & dad said it reminds them of Brisbane years ago when there were trams. We meandered our way back over the cobblestones to our hotel where mum & Emily had a rest while dad & I walked for another hour & a half looking at the sites trying to find something of interest. Took some photos & video & returned to the hotel.

Emily is currently watching Spongebob Square pants in German (don't know how much she's understanding though). Its 8pm & the sun is still shining brightly & probably will for ~another hour.

Looking forward to tomorrow.
Bye for now,
Yvette & co
