First chance I've had to get onto a computer!!!! Hello Mitchell - miss you, love you heaps!
Our flight was terribly long - not much chance of getting any decent sleep. Note to self - next time either fly business class or have a stopover on the way!!!! By the way I think Emily will only fly business class next time anyway!
All we have seen so far are good - Uncle Viktor has been sick in the last week with chest pain.
Monday we had a quiet morning then went to visit Hannelore in the afternoon. We went to dinner in Frankfurt & didn't get home until midnight!! Emily was shattered.
Tuesday we went to Rudesheim with Michael, Beate & Hansi. Went up gondola to Niedewalddenkmal. Had a good time. It is very hot - 30 degrees & humid!! Feels like we are at home!
Emily is in love with Germany and says she feels very relaxed and at home here. Its Oma in her!!
Today we have travelled to the Black Forest. We have been to Triberg & walked up the waterfall - do you remember it Ken?? Stupid question - I know you do!! It was starting to spit then all of a sudden the heavens opened up & it bucketed down. I found a little cave & stayed dry but dad, Em & Hansi looked like drowned rats! When we left Triberg we drove into a storm. With HAIL!!!!!!! Only pea sized, but lots of it. We are now at the hotel in Freiburg where we are staying tonight & tomorrow night. We are just about to go for a walk around.
