Hey everyone from Switzerland!!!!

Yesterday we were in Titisee in the Black Forest. We had a lovely day - shopping, Emily & Grandad went paddle boating, eating Weisswurst, drinking beer.......

Titisee is beautiful - one of my favourite places. Once again another storm rolled in....4 days in a row. This time not much rain, just a lot of noise!

Then we went to get the Black Forest Cherry Cake. Yum yum yum!! (not that I had any!)
Ian definately enjoyed his, he almost licked his plate clean. So did Ken!!

Back in Freiburg there was a wine festival happening so there was much activity in the town centre. A lot of atmosphere with a band and a lot of wine. No we didn't get drunk!!

Before any drinking happened Hansi, Grandad, & Emily climbed to the top of a lookout above Freiburg. 184 stairs to the top & it was swaying in the wind!! (see attached photo) Not a very sturdy looking structure - made out of timber trunks. Not for the faint hearted like you Ken!!! Emily went all the way to the top - can only fit two people on top. (one area where Emily doesn't take after you Ken)

This morning after our european breakfast of eggs, breadrolls, wursts, cheeses, etc, (jealous Ken?) we parted with Beate & Hansi & headed for Switzerland. We got to Lucerne at lunch time we found a hotel & had lunch. We went to a very special "Swiss" restaurant. They also have the same golden arches as a take away joint back home!! Emily was suitably impressed & would like to return to that swiss restaurant again!!!!

We then did a city tour which was good. Yet another storm this afternoon - but still nothing like Wednesday with the hail. Showery this afternoon. Hopefully tomorrow the weather is good because we are planning to go to Mt Titlus! Can't wait!

Found some diabetic friendly chocolate today - may have to get some for a certain diabetic we know, Ken.

Anyway enough from me, its getting late.
Yvette
